The illustration style began development for use in the agency's monthly email blast. I would create headers and graphics for use in each newsletter, using the agency's color palette and sticking to the theme of the month
Some samples of newsletter illustrations for emails themed around: doses of optimism, looking forward to the future, travel, the holidays, and our weekly "bubbles" happy hour.
Each newsletter also featured an "agency's pick" drink of the month, as part of an invite to our Friday afternoon Google Hangout happy hour.
The monthly cocktail was a popular feature, and eventually we decided to expand it from a part of our newsletter to a full-blown library of featured drinks.

I built out a matching asset library for our use, creating a suite of glass shapes, garnishes, straws, and bubbles to make future cocktail illustrations easier and ensure consistency regardless of who is making them.
After the cocktail library, the illustration use expanded onto our website. Using our existing color palette with a new set of complementary accent colors and the existing rounded linear style, I created a new suite of illustrations to make thumbnails for our case studies.
They offer a hint of what the case study focuses on, while giving a more editorial feel that lets visitors to the site know these pages will be more in-depth than our work pages.
